Golfing Scores – How to Keep Them Low

One way to bring down your golf score is to keep your swing smooth and follow through like you are swinging baseball bat. You have to find your rhythm and incorporate that into the swing. You might see other players swings and they are choppy and unsteady, these swings don't make for skillful golfers.

You also have to discover your swing velocity. Hitting the ball Is not enough, if you hit the ball too gentle it will not go far enough, if you hit the ball too far it will get away from the hole. You have to find your speed and adapt it to your swing. Once you do that, you have that you half the battle won.

To get into tempo with your rhythm is to practice, one good way to rehearse this would be with a metronome. You position this device on the tee, and this is so you can time your stroke with the clocking sounding metronome.

Here is a tip, on the tick sound of the metronome you ought have your putter at the end of the backswing and on the tock it should be at the finish of the follow through. The metronome has more than one speed and you can adjust it to any speed you're attempting to emulate. While you're playing a game you can repeat the tick tock sound in your head to keep your pacing set.

Another great way to bring down your score is to one hand the club. It's not what you think. A lot of players have said that when they put, they feel like one hand is directing the other. Well, when you're ready to put, and then use your dominant hand to moderate the stroke, relax, focus and most of all control your swing.

While you have the putter in your hand, it might feel a bit strange. But as you practice, the more natural it will feel. Don't over put; the ball will go right past the hole. It you hit too soft, the ball will not get close the hole. Don't be timid to put some wrist motion into the put, but be cautious not to over do it.

A different neat way to drill is to practice on track. This is generally practiced when the ball pulls or tends to push. The ball as they say goes offline. But there is a way to practice this, it's called on track or line or line putting.

If you are on the course, one way to practice is by taking away the flag from the hole and placing your ball on top of it. Practice placing the ball down the line a few times, the main goal is to keep the ball n the flag track. Do this for 30 seconds. Then set the ball on the green and take your shot. By practicing these tips you are able to greatly improve your game.
